Be part of your student’s band experience and meet other parents by volunteering! Football games and competitions wouldn’t be possible without parents and volunteers contributing their time and resources during the marching season.

All volunteers must complete Level I Clearance through the School District of Manatee County. Level II clearance is required for any overnight travel with the band. The volunteer application and details are available here.

A $50 volunteer deposit per family has been collected as part of your student’s band fees. At the end of the marching band season, families who have completed 10 hours of volunteer service to the band can request a refund of the deposit. Any funds not returned will be donated to the Pride of Parrish Band Scholarship Fund, which supports members who need assistance with band fees.

Volunteer Roles

Crew

Designs and constructs show props, loads and unloads the equipment truck, moves large instruments and props onto and off the field, and sets up speakers and microphones for front ensemble.

Uniform Managers

Assist with uniform distribution, fitting, and repairs to ensure performers look professional.

Chaperones

Accompany students during football games, competitions and other events, ensuring they are hydrated, fed, healthy and safe.

Concessions

Work a shift in the concession stand during football games or events hosted by the Pride of Parrish Band Boosters. Roles may include taking orders, running food or manning the grill.

Meal Planners/Organizers

Not able to join us for competitions or games but want to participate? Help with shopping for the band's lunch supplies the night before competitions. We could also use help organizing meal orders for competitions and football games.
